Howden is an Official Partner of Ascot Racecourse

In June 2021, we became an Official Partner of Ascot Racecourse.

Our partnership launched at Royal Ascot, when we were able to not only showcase our brand but also invite many of our clients to join us for five days of celebrations at the world renowned venue.

Why Ascot Racecourse?

The five-year partnership is a great fit for Howden, reflecting the expertise and scale of our Sport and Entertainment division.

Our experts place insurance for amateur and professional sport and entertainment organisations, including some of the world’s most prestigious large-scale events.

It also calls upon the skills our specialist Equine team, who work with clients from individual riders, owners and trainers to pony clubs and Olympic athletes.

Howden is a Principal Partner of The British & Irish Lions

In July 2023, we became a Principal Partner of The British & Irish Lions. Our partnership has so far seen Howden becoming the official front of jersey sponsor for the Men's Tour to Australia 2025, the series title partner for the Lions Women’s tour to New Zealand in 2027 as well as backing community-level activities via the Lions Origin Clubs and Schools.

Why The Lions?

This partnership reflects Howden’s continued commitment to rugby at all levels. We have a strong presence in communities in the UK and Ireland via our 6,500 employees across offices and our 200 high street branches, plus a growing presence in Australia.

David Howden said: “This partnership aligns us with a unique franchise in elite sport, one which harnesses the collective power of the home nations and the passion and imagination of rugby fans and non-rugby fans alike around the world. It is our core employee ownership and the passion and imagination of our people which makes us a different kind of animal in the insurance world, so the Lions feels like a perfect match.”

Announcing the Head Coach for the Men's Tour to Australia 2025

On 11 January 2024 we invited The British & Irish Lions to our head office in London to announce Andy Farrell as the Head Coach for the Men's Tour to Australia 2025. This marked both the first milestone in our partnership with the Lions and the beginning of the rugby community’s countdown to the 2025 tour.

David Howden said, "Today marks a significant moment for Howden, and we're committed to playing a central role in the future of the sport, from the elite through to the grassroots."
